reflective journal

Quantitative methods

I am Elvin Rinaldy, majoring International Business, this is my first semester and my first time writing a reflective journal for quantitative methods course.

At the first time i enter the Quantitative methods, i thought Mr. Welman is a strict and serious guy, i thought oh my God, my quantitative class will be so boring if the teacher is like this, but actually when he starts to speaks, hmm.. not bad, the opinion of strict teacher is fade off, and when i enter the second tutorial, he is funny teacher!! He even teach us some cool abbreviation in order to make us study easier, hahaha..

For the first and the second lecture of the Quantitative class, much less what i have learnt is about Simple Interest, Compounded Interest, future value, and present value. By learning these, i can calculate how much i will get if i save this much money or how much i must pay in the future if i borrow some amount of money. i think it is kinda useful for me because before i want to borrow or save money, i can calculate the result first so i will not get confused in the future.

And for the third class, is all about those equation and linear, the subject that i am interested in. Actually i have learnt it at my high school so it would not be a problem for me to understand it.

That is all for my first reflective journal for the Quantitative methods, hopefully the class will still be interesting in the future. And God bless.
